A compassionate young woman, driven by a deep commitment to helping others, discovered her calling early in her career. While Mrs. Koirala was at the hospital seeking treatment for her grandmother’s cervical cancer, she became aware of the multitude of women grappling with the same condition. Inspired by this experience, she dedicated several years to working with various social organizations. Through her extensive engagement and research, she conceived the idea of launching a comprehensive awareness program focused on cervical cancer.

This initiative, known as the Cervical Cancer Awareness Program (C-CAP), was executed through Training of Trainers (TOT) sessions. Handpicked young girls underwent rigorous training to conduct awareness campaigns in schools across Itahari. However, recognizing the need for a more extensive reach, the decision was made to expand the program to encompass community-level interventions in diverse locations within Koshi Province.

Following these community awareness efforts, a distressing number of women were discovered to be suffering from both uterine and cervical cancer. Consequently, health camps were established to provide complimentary check-ups and medicine to these afflicted individuals.
